BELTON, Texas — In their final regular season road trip of the year, East Texas Baptist fell to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor 5–0 on Sunday afternoon. After a postponement from the previous night, ETBU dropped to 8–8–1 overall and 1–3–1 in American Southwest Conference play.
UMHB jumped ahead early, scoring just 28 seconds into the match and extended their lead in the 20th minute to 2-0. Just two minutes later, they pushed their lead to 3-0.
In the second half, UMHB added two more goals to seal the win in the 65
th and 77
th minutes.
ETBU recorded six shots in the match, five of them on goal.
Aiden Fortenberry fired the Tigers' first attempt in the third minute, followed by a shot from
Edwin Jimenez in the 31st. In the second half,
Lars Clark placed a shot on goal in the 49th minute, while
Luke Hunsinger and
Brenden Gajewski had late attempts in the 78th and 82nd minutes.

Ryan Lord finished with eight saves.
ETBU will close out its regular season at home next Saturday against Howard Payne University on Senior Day at 7:30 p.m.
