ROCKWALL, Texas – Golfing against all NCAA Division II programs, and six Top 30 teams in the nation, East Texas Baptist University finished 14
th at the Dallas Baptist University Classic at the Rockwall Golf and AC.
Coleman Bales was the top golfer for the Tigers, finishing in the top 30 of over 100 participants.
This was the men's golf team's final fall competition before they look towards their Spring 2026 schedule.
ETBU finished with a 926 in the three-round tournament, with a 295 as their best round. In the first round, they shot a 310 and then took off 15 strokes for a 295 in round two. They shot a 321 in the final round for the 926 and were 15 strokes off the top 10.
Bales came in 26
th place with a 222, with a 72 as his best round. He had a 73 in round one and 72 in the next round. He finished with a 77 for the 222 and was five strokes from the top 10.
Kade Bazzell posted the second-best score on the team with a 234 (76-71-87) and a 71 in the second round, placing in 66
th.
Drew Marshall was 73
rd with a 237 (81-77-79), scoring a 77 in round two. Kaleb Kesting was then 80
th (82-75-84=241), and
Tanner Story (80-84-81=245) was 82
nd.
ETBU will next play in the spring of 2026.
