MARSHALL, Texas – Adding to a historic season already, No. 1 East Texas Baptist University has earned seven American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Region 10 awards.

Mallory Matthews all earned regional awards. Hornsby is the Freshman of the Year, and Matthews was named the Coach of the Year. The five players earning All-Region honors are the most in program history and in the region this season.
For the second year in a row, Matthews and assistant coach
Allison Kuster were named the Region 10 Coach of the Year, adding to the American Southwest Conference coaching award they received last week. This season, Matthews has led ETBU to their best start in program history at 31-0 and earned the Tigers their first No. 1 ranking. Last week, ETBU earned its third straight ASC Tournament Championship under Matthews, tying the previous program record of three consecutive championships set by coach Suzanne Wingrove from 2001 to 2003.
Four players were named AVCA All-Region First Team in Mosley, Hancock, Hornsby, and Moody. Earning All-Region Honorable Mention for the second year is Humphrey.
Mosley (Sr., Troy, Texas) has won her fourth All-Region first-team selection. The four-time ASC MVP leads the team in kills with 481 and ranks seventh in the nation in kills. Heading into the NCAA Tournament, she is averaging a .324 hitting percentage. Defensively, she is right behind Humphrey in total digs with 380. She has recorded 82 double-doubles in her tenure with the Tigers and is 19 kills away from earning 2000 kills in her career. She has also earned the most ASC weekly awards in conference history in any sport and is the only student-athlete to be ASC MVP four years in a row.
Hancock (Jr., Independence, Texas) has won her first All-Region award. She leads the team in blocks with 117 and is 17
th in the nation for blocks and 21st in blocks per set with 1.15. Heading into the NCAA Tournament, the three-year starter is five blocks away from her 300th career block. She is a three-time All-ASC selection, earning First-Team honors the past two years.
Moody (Sr., Crawford, Texas) has earned her first All-Region award. The 2024 ASC Setter of the Year has 530 assists on the season and 2,339 assists in her four years with the Tigers. She has recorded three double-doubles on the season and has 12 matches with over 20 assists. The four-time All-ASC selection has been on the ASC First-Team twice.
In her first year with the Tigers, Hornsby (Fr., Decatur, Texas) is on the first-team All-Region and the Region's Freshman of the Year. She is second on the team in kills with 295, recording 104 digs and 24 blocks, and scoring 330 points. The ASC co-Freshman of the Year was on the All-ASC second team.
Humphrey (Sr., Haslet, Texas) has earned her second All-Region Honorable Mention award in her two seasons with the Tigers. She leads the team in digs with 431, recording 985 career digs in just two years. Humphrey has helped the Tigers shut out 24 of their 31 opponents this season. She was the 2025 ASC Libero of the Year and the 2024 Newcomer of the Year as a two-time All-ASC selection.
No. 1 ETBU will face Maine Maritime on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. Central Time in the first round of the NCAA Regional Tournament in Boston, Massachusetts.
