MARSHALL, Texas – Receiving a major American Southwest Conference football award, East Texas Baptist University had 13 players earn postseason awards. Dominick Williams was named the ASC Defensive Lineman and co-Defensive Player of the Year. Four players earned All-ASC first-team, eight were on the second-team, and one is on the ASC Outstanding Sportsman Team of the Year.

Williams (Sr., Houston, Texas) becomes ETBU's first player to be named the ASC Defensive Player of the Year and the third one to earn the Defensive Lineman of the Year. He joins Chad Glover (2003) and Jahkamian Carr (2023). He also earns his third straight All-ASC first-team award, leads the ASC with 10.5 sacks and 16.5 tackles for loss (1.65 per game), was second in total tackles (72), and third in tackles per game (7.2). Along with that, he posted several blocked extra points and one field goal. The 10.5 sacks are tied for the third most in a season for ETBU with Littleton Dean (2003) and C.J. Johnson (2017). He posted four sacks vs. Oklahoma Panhandle State, which is the second-best in a single game, tying Glover (2004) and Darel Johnson (2000), and was 0.5 sacks shy of Johnson's 2017 record. This year, he was the ASC Defensive Player of the Week twice and made the D3football.com Team of the Week in September. He finishes his career third all-time at ETBU with 21 sacks and posted 146 total tackles and 32 tackles for loss (177 yards).

Making All-ASC first-team defense with Williams is linebacker Kyle Zalick (Sr., Fort Worth, Texas). This is his second All-ASC award, as he was a second-team selection last year. He finished fourth on the team in total tackles (34) and had a career-high five tackles vs. Hardin-Simmons and Howard Payne. He also recorded two tackles for loss and one interception.

On the All-ASC first team for offense are linemen Nathan Morris (Sr., Sugar Land, Texas) and Brock Johnson (So., Henderson, Texas). Morris is at tackle and Johnson at center, as both started all 10 games. It is Morris' second year being named to the All-ASC first team and his third All-ASC award, after an honorable mention in 2023. It is Johnson's first award in his first year starting at center. Both linemen helped ETBU to four games with over 400 yards of total offense, posting 621 yards vs. Lyon College.

Earning an All-ASC second team award for defense is Colton Wilson (So., Ennis, Texas) on the defensive line. He was second on the team in sacks (5.5) and had 20 tackles with 5.5 tackles for loss. He collected a career-high 2.5 sacks vs. Oklahoma Panhandle State, with two vs. Centenary and one against Hardin-Simmons.

Seven offensive players earned All-ASC second team in Bryson Ortega-Duplachain (WR; So., Victoria, Texas), Paul Woodard (RB; Jr., Freeport, Texas), Jordan Woodard (RB; Sr., Brazoria, Texas), Cullen Crain (SB; Sr., Tomball, Texas), Mitchell White (K; Fr., Corinth, Texas), Devin Jolly (OL; Jr., Grand Prairie, Texas), and Destin Smith (OL; Jr., Patterson, La.).

Ortega-Duplechain earns his first ASC award as he had 255 yards receiving on 28 catches. Paul Woodard earns his second All-ASC award, having been on the first team in 2024. He finished the year with 937 yards rushing, six touchdowns, and averaged 104.1 yards per game in nine games played. Jordan Woodard is a first-time award winner, rushing for 504 yards on 89 attempts (5.7 yards per carry) and two touchdowns. Crain is another first-time recipient, as he had one touchdown with five catches as the H-Back/tight end. White earns his first award, making nine field goals with 45 yards being his longest. He also recorded 48 kickoffs for an average of 58.5 yards per kick with 16 touchbacks. Rounding out the second team are linemen Jolley and Smith. Jolly, a guard, and Smith, a tackle, both earn their second-straight All-ASC award on the second team. They were a part of an offense that averaged over 400 yards per game and 26+ points.
