MARSHALL, Texas – Finishing the regular season with a win over Howard Payne University, East Texas Baptist University's Ryan Lord has been named the American Southwest Conference Defensive Player of the Week. It is his second weekly award this year as goal keeper.
 
ETBU won, 4-1, over Howard Payne to claim the no. 3 spot in the ASC Tournament as they won their ninth match of the year.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Ryan Lord, GK, So., East Texas Baptist 
East Texas Baptist Goal Keeper Ryan Lord earned the win with two saves vs. HPU that secured ETBU the #3 seed in the ASC Tournament. After giving up a goal in the 7^th minute, he shut out HPU stopping two more shots in the 34^th and 90^th minute. The shot in the 34^th minute would have giving HPU the lead but his save kept the score tied at one before ETBU scored in the 44^th minute to take the lead for good.
