MARSHALL, Texas – Earning the top defensive award for the region, East Texas Baptist University's Dominick Williams in the D3football.com's Region 3 Defensive Player of the Year. This is the fourth major award for Williams in the post season as he has been the ASC Defensive Player and Lineman of the Year, American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) All-American Second Team and now D3football.com All-Region.

A senior from Houston, Texas, Williams finished with 72 tackles, 40 of them solo, in East Texas Baptist's 10-game season. He was credited with 16½ tackles for loss, including 10½ sacks, while blocking three kicks and forcing three fumbles. ETBU finished with a 4-6 record.
 
He will now have a chance to be named a D3football.com All-American that will be announced next week.
