The final recap of the ETBU Beach Volleyball team TAME trip to Roatan is provided by junior Katie Holloway. 
 
"This mission trip has forever changed our lives.  Although it began with a frustrating, tiring, and complicated first day of travel that left us stuck in Houston for a night, it taught us so much about perseverance.  The blessing of this experience was beyond worth the trials.  Upon arrival, we jumped right into a beach volleyball camp with the kids on the island.  The kids we got to interact with over our stay ranged from ages 1 to 19 years old.  Each of the children we met had such an eagerness for affection, attention, and love.  We got to speak the name of Jesus over them, teach them about Him, pray over them, and most importantly show them what Christ's love is.  We also had an opportunity to serve at a Christmas ministry surrounding the local dump.  Serving the families of Roatan impacted us beyond what I am able to put into words.  The joy and thankfulness of these beautiful people are etched on our hearts for the rest of our lives. 
 
This trip connected us as a team in service but also in spirit. Each night we heard each other's testimonies, struggles, and takeaways of the day.  Seeing God move within each of our lives and being vulnerable has fostered a sense of true sisterhood among us.  We came to serve, love, and spread the Gospel, and God used us to do just that. He is so good though that He also used those we interacted with to love on us, teach us, and grow us.  We thank Jesus for His love and power displayed to us on this trip.  We are not leaving it here though.  We are determined to bring this boldness for the Lord wherever we go.  I am so excited to see how this trip will transform our upcoming season and our everyday lives," Holloway said.
