MARSHALL, Texas – Earning his second All-American award in the 2025 football season, East Texas Baptist University's
Dominick Williams made the Associated Press (AP) All-American Second Team as a defensive lineman. He is the fifth player in the program to earn two All-American awards in a season, joining Scott Verhalen ('02, '03), Chad Glover ('05), Richard Johnson ('18), and Jordan Estes ('22).
This is Williams' fifth major award this season, being the American Southwest Conference's Defensive Player and Defensive Lineman of the Year, D3football.com Region 3 Defensive Player of the Year, AFCA All-American Second Team, and now AP All-American Second Team. He finished the year with 10.5 sacks and 16.5 tackles for loss to lead the ASC. He was second on the team with 72 tackles and blocked several PATs and field goals. In September, he made the D3football.com "Team of the Week" and also won two ASC Defensive Player of the Week awards.
He had four sacks vs. Oklahoma Panhandle State, which was 0.5 sacks shy of the single-game record set by CJ Johnson in 2017. The 10.5 sacks are the third most in a season, with both Littleton Dean ('03) and Johnson ('17). He is now third all-time in career sacks with 21 and has 146 career tackles with 32 tackles for loss (177 yards).
ETBU has now produced an All-American in six of the last eight seasons.
