MARSHALL, Texas – Two more post-season awards have been given to East Texas Baptist University by Dave Campbells Texas Football.
Dominick Williams and
Paul Woodard are on the Non-FBS All-Texas team.
They are two of 56 players in Texas to make the team as 35 spots went to FCS ranks out of NCAA Division II, Division III, NAIA and JUCO. NCAA Division III had eight players on the team.
Williams is a Non-FBS First Team selection as he earns his eighth post-season award. He is the American Southwest Conference Defensive Player and Lineman of the Year, All-ASC First Team, D3football.com Region 3 Player of the Year and First-Team, AP All-American Second Team, and AFCA All-American Second Team. He finished the year with 10.5 sacks and 16.5 tackles for loss to lead the ASC and was second on the team with 72 tackles, blocking several PATs and field goals. In September, he made the D3football.com "Team of the Week" and also won two ASC Defensive Player of the Week awards.
Woodard gains his second award after being named All-ASC Second Team as a running back. He finished the year with 937 yards rushing, six touchdowns, and averaged 104.1 yards per game in nine games played. He posted five 100+ rushing games with 169 yards at Texas Lutheran and 154 yards at Centenary.
Williams and Woodard join
Jahkamian Carr (2023) as the only ETBU selections.
