The ETBU Beach Volleyball team departed Marshall early Sunday morning for Roatan as part of ETBU's Tiger Athletic Mission Experience (TAME), where they will be partnering with International Sports Federation (ISF) and Roatan Mission Fellowship for ministry and service over the next week. This is the 24th trip for the ETBU Athletic Department TAME initiative and the first for the Tiger Beach Volleyball team.
ETBU Sophomore
Sierra Wendt provided the Day 1 recap.
"The first two days of our mission trip were crazy! We left Marshall at midnight, which was followed by delays in Dallas and a missed flight in Houston. We finally made it to Roatan 42 hours, a hotel, and three flights later. Through all the chaos, it's been exciting to watch the Lord force us to slow down and be patient on His timing. When things could have caused us to lose joy or excitement, we spent the time having team Bible studies and fellowship. Never once did the team lose fire for the Lord or eagerness to share His word. We got to end our day at the home of our host family with dinner, s'more's and fresh coconuts."
Please join me in praying for the team this week and please pray for the Lord to open their hearts to serve His people and for the Gospel to be exemplified through these student-athletes.
