 MARSHALL, Texas - Shutting out Austin College, collecting a perfect game in game one, no. 1 East Texas Baptist University moved to 8-0 with strong offensive performances, scoring 21 runs. ETBU won game one, 10-0, as Hannah Benavides earned the perfect game and then had an 11-0 victory in game two. 
 
Both games were run-rule wins as Mallory Pyle ended game one on a walk-off grand slam home run. McKenzie Jones had a one-hit victory in game two with a career-high seven strikeouts. Tristen Maddox led the team with five hits (three doubles, one triple), while Pyle had five RBI. Madalyn Melton added four hits (two doubles and a home run) with four RBI.

ETBU highlighted their offensive prowess with nine hits, including three doubles, a triple, and a home run, while capitalizing on three errors committed by Austin College.
