CLINTON, Miss. – With several finishes in the Top 10, East Texas Baptist University has started off the 2025 season great in men's track and field. Of the seven top ten finishes, four were in the top five, with PJ Johnson winning one event.
PJ Johnson had the best performance on the day winning the high jump at 1.95 meters (6'39"). He also ran the 100-meter dash coming in 52nd.

Paul Woodard, Davion Bouldwin, Noah Carter, Andrae Gipson finished second in the 4x100 meter relay with a time 42.71 beating out two other opponents. The 4x400-meter relay team of Gibson, Aiden McDonald, Carlos Torres-Izquierdo, Brody Hocter finished third with a time of 3:24.26


Woodard competed in long jump posting a distance of 6.55 meters for ninth place out of 28.
Cooper Mosier led the way in field events, throwing 13.48 meters in shot-put for fifth place in a field of 23. Ernesto Reyna recorded a distance of 38.71 meters for ninth place in javelin and Dolan Williams finished 10^th in the discus with a distance of 37.99 meters.
