CONWAY, Ark.  – Splitting their final matches of the year in a weather-shortened tournament, East Texas Baptist University faced Hendrix College twice on Sunday. ETBU won match one, 3-2, but then fell in the second match, 4-1. ETBU is now 6-20 on the year.
 
Shelby Pugh and Rylee Crook won flight five, 21-5, 24-22 for the first point of the match. Camille Freeman and Kyleigh Pate took the flight four, 21-12, 22-20, to make it 2-0. Brooke Nalley and Bella Fields finished off the win in flight two, 21-15, 21-18. ETBU fell in flight one, 21-10, 21-18 and in flight three, 21-8, 21-15.
 
In the second match, Nalley and Field were the only team to win their flight at number two, 18-21, 21-11, 15-10.
 
ETBU will compete in the AVCA Small College Beach Championships next weekend in Alabama.
