ROME, Ga. – Finishing the regular season on Monday in Georgia, East Texas Baptist University have now won 10+ matches for the third year in a row as they defeated LaGrange College, 6-1, in the morning and Berry College, 4-3, in the afternoon for their 12
th. The 12 wins are second most in program history behind 15 from last year.
ETBU opened their trip to Georgia with a 5-2 loss to UC Santa Cruz in Atlanta, Ga., on Sunday at Emory University. They then bounced back for two wins on Monday at Berry College.
ETBU will now play next in the ASC Tournament April 24-26.

ETBU opened the match with a point in doubles taking the no. 1 and no. 2 matches.
Slade Austin and
BT White won at no. 2, 6-4, and
Sam Black and
Max Karseno had the no. 1 win, 6-1.
In singles,
Baptiste Berthier had the lone win at no. 3, 6-3, 6-3.
ETBU 6, LaGrange 1
ETBU swept through doubles play with wins at all three matches.
Fredrik Friberg and Berthier won a no. 1, 6-3, followed by
Drew Van Wyk and
Kayden Lengacher winning at no. 2, 6-0.
Jacob Daniell and
Carson Crow then won the no. 3 match, 6-1.
White jumped up to the no. 1 singles position with a 6-1, 6-0 win and
Jaco Snyman won the no. 2 competition, 6-2, 6-0. Friberg took the no. 3 match, 6-2, 6-1, and Lengacher won at no. 4, 6-3, 6-0.
David Garcia earned the final win at no. 6 in a tiebreaker, 6-4, 1-6, 1-0.

Once again, ETBU took all three matches in doubles for a 1-0 lead. Black and Karseno had a 6-2 win at no. 1. White and Austin won at no. 2, 6-4, and Friberg and Berthier had a 6-3 win at no. 3
Berry started off with wins at no. 1, no. 2, and no. 3 matches for a 3-1 lead. Berthier then won the no. 4 match, 6-2, 6-3, and Karseno took the no. 5 match, 6-1, 6-2. Austin finished off the match at no. 6, 6-4, 6-2, for the match win.
