#TIGERSWIN | SB | No. 1 ETBU Has Sweep of LETU on Senior Day

MARSHALL, Texas – Finishing off the regular season undefeated at home, No. 1 East Texas Baptist University swept LeTourneau University in their final meeting as ASC members, 7-0, and 3-0, on Senior Day. ETBU is now 32-2 and 10-0 in the ASC and went 20-0 at Bell Park at Taylor Field, extending their regular season home winning streak to 63 games.
 
Emma Bell went 3-of-5 with three RBI to lead the team. Tristen Maddox added three hits for one RBI, and Mary Frances Ellis and Izabella Morales had two hits. Morales gave two RBI while Maddox, Ellis, and Braidee Glenn had one RBI. Glenn hit her first collegiate home run on senior day.
 
Avery Holland won game one, giving up four hits and no runs with three strikeouts. Hannah Benavides also allowed just four hits with five strikeouts and no runs for the win.
 
Game 1
ETBU 7, LETU 0

ETBU shut out LeTourneau for a game one victory, highlighted by a decisive six-run fifth inning at Bell Park.
 
Holland led ETBU with a complete game shutout, allowing four hits and striking out three over seven innings. Bell contributed with two RBIs, hitting 1-for-3 with a key performance in two-out situations. Ellis was also instrumental, going 2-for-3 with an RBI and a stolen base.
 
In the third inning, ETBU broke the scoreless tie when Makayla Menchue doubled down the right field line and later scored on a bunt single by Ellis for the 1-0 lead. The fifth inning saw ETBU extend its lead significantly. Madalyn Melton stole third and scored on a catching error, followed by a string of hits, including a double from Maddox and a single from Morales, contributing to the six-run inning. Bell added two more RBIs with a single through the right side. After this offensive surge, the Tigers were ahead 7-0 and took game one in the shutout.

ETBU 3, LETU 0

Highlighted by a strong start with three runs in the first two innings, ETBU earned a second shutout on the day over LeTourneau, 3-0.
 
Benavides pitched a complete game shutout, recording seven innings with no earned runs. She allowed four hits and two walks while striking out five, moving to 7-1 on the season.
 
Glenn hit her first home run, contributing one run and one RBI. Bell went 2-for-2, driving in one run. Maddox also had two hits, and Morales added one RBI.
 
ETBU started the game strong, scoring in the first inning. Morales walked and then stole second base, advancing to third on an error. Bell drove Morales home with a single, putting the Tigers ahead 1-0.
 
The Tigers extended their lead in the second inning with two more runs. Glenn hit a solo home run to left field. Ellis was hit by a pitch, and Maddox singled, setting the stage for Morales, who singled up the middle to bring Ellis home, making it 3-0.
 
LeTourneau threatened in the fourth inning with a double, but the Tigers' defensive efforts prevented any scoring, holding their lead at 3-0 through four innings.
 
ETBU's defense remained solid in the final innings, shutting out LeTourneau throughout the seventh inning. The game concluded with ETBU achieving a 3-0 victory, as two of the five final batters were struck out.
