MARSHALL, Texas—For the third year in a row, East Texas Baptist University will host the NCAA Division III baseball and softball regional tournaments. ETBU is one of three institutions in NCAA Division III to host both regionals this week, joining Case Western Reserve (Ohio) and Salisbury University (Md.).
The NCAA Division III softball tournament starts on Thursday and continues through Saturday. ETBU is the No. 1 overall seed in the tournament at 40-3. They have hosted six straight NCAA regional tournaments and the National Championship Tournaments in 2023 and 2024. They are the reigning national champions and have a 234-29 record at Bell Park at Taylor Field, the past 12 years with three straight undefeated regular seasons on their home field.
No. 1 ETBU, No. 12 Belhaven University (Miss.), the University of St. Thomas Houston, and Marymount University (Va.) will be in the Marshall, Texas Regional at Bell Park at Taylor Field.
On Friday, Tiger Ballpark at Woods Field will host four teams in ETBU, No. 7 Trinity (Texas), Millsaps College, and Huntingdon University (Ala.). ETBU has won 101 games at home over the past five years and is 18-5 this year. They are the no. 3 seed in the Marshall, Texas Regional Tournament and ranked no. 21 in the Perfect Game poll.
