TAME | CHR, POM, A&T | Ireland - Recap #5

5/17/2025 3:03:00 PM

Friday's recap of the ETBU Acrobatics and Tumbling, Cheer, and Pom teams' TAME trip to Northern Ireland is provided by Junior Shosha Weigand

"Today was an amazing day! We started off with breakfast, loaded the bus, and headed to the Salt Factory Office. After leaving the office, we walked to some neighborhoods to pray over them. As we walked, we stopped at the local school to pray over the kids and staff. We loaded the bus again to head to the primary school where Acrobatics and Tumbling would spend the day. While at the school, we had the opportunity to show the kids some of our acro skills and talk to them about Jesus. After, we broke into small groups to get to know the kids better and for them to ask questions. After lunch, we taught the kids how to play ultimate frisbee.

Pom and Cheer spent the day at a primary school across town. The school was in an impoverished area, and the day's goal was to let the kids know they are loved and valued. It was an awesome day. The teams showed their routines and taught the students some skills. They also played soccer, raced, and had handstand competitions with the kids. The teams had great conversations with the students and teachers, presenting the Gospel and praying over them.

After spending the day with the kids, we left and drove to Newcastle to walk around town and see the ocean. Then we went home and had some delicious dinner and got an amazing opportunity to watch and learn Irish dancing! We ended the night with devotion and worship. I was just in awe of how the Lord is working in all of us on this trip. The Lord has worked in so many ways and showed us amazing things this week. He's opened up so many kids' hearts to receive the Gospel. God has also been showing me and my teammates how His Holy Spirit has moved through each and every one of us.
