The final recap of the ETBU Acrobatics and Tumbling, Cheer, and Pom teams' TAME trip to Northern Ireland is provided by Head Cheer and Pom Coach Ellen LeClair.
Today was a bittersweet day. We all had a group hug in the courtyard with the Salt Factory Sports staff before we loaded the charter bus to the airport. I can't speak for everyone, but I know I had tears as we left. The staff waved to us as we pulled out, and I was just overwhelmed by the connections we made during the trip.
We had a connecting flight in London, so we had lunch there and did some more souvenir shopping because a girl can never have too many souvenirs. We needed proof we had also been to England.
Then we got on the eight-hour flight back to Dallas, where we watched movies, read, and slept. Once we landed in Dallas, we walked outside to the warm temperatures we had a break from, loaded the charter, and returned to beautiful East Texas.
The Holy Spirit so insanely led this trip. His presence was tangible, and I know for a fact that our lives are changed because of what He did on this trip and what we witnessed. Between having fun Irish Dancing, once-in-a-lifetime sightseeing at the Giant's Causeway, and, of course, serving in schools and telling children the simplicity of the Gospel that Jesus loves them, it was a trip that marked us. I am so thankful to ETBU Athletics, ISF, Salt Factory Sports, the country of Northern Ireland, and God for this opportunity!
