MARSHALL, Texas – Gaining another two shutouts in 2025, East Texas Baptist University's
Cadence Tischler is the American Southwest Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the second straight week. It is the third time in her career for the award.
ETBU went 1-0-1 over the week with two shutouts. On the road, they defeated Schreiner University, 3-0, and tied Southwestern, 0-0, at home at Cornish Field.

Cadence Tischler (The Colony, Texas) earned her third straight shutout with a 3-0 win over Schreiner. She had one save in 82 minutes played and now has shutout opponents for 271 minutes in the last four matches. Tischler stopped SU's first shot on goal in the 68th minute right after ETBU scored in the 65th minute. She faced shots in the first half and three in the second.
