MARSHALL, Texas – Another big offensive week by East Texas Baptist University gave
Junior Lopez the American Southwest Conference Offensive Player of the Week award. It is the second time in Lopez's career to be the ASC Player of the Week.
ETBU went 2-0 last week with wins over Austin College and Centenary College improving to 5-3-0.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Junior Lopez, F, So., East Texas Baptist
East Texas Baptist sophomore forward
Junior Lopez (Lufkin, Texas) collected his first three goals of the year in a 2-0 week for ETBU as the Tigers scored eight goals. Lopez had two goals against Austin College and one versus Centenary. In the win over Austin College, he netted the game winning goal in the 89th minute for the 3-2 win. His first goal of the game came in the 54th minute for a 1-0 lead. Against Centenary, he produced the teams first goal in the 12th minute in the 5-0 win. Overall, he took eight shots with seven on goal scoring three of them.
