The Basics
The No. 11-ranked East Texas Baptist University Tigers (4-0 overall; 0-0 ASC) will host their home weekend opener in Ornelas Gym this Friday and Saturday. The Tiger Invitational will host five other teams: University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, Concordia Texas, University of Dallas, Carroll (WI), and Belhaven.

ETBU is currently ranked No. 11 in the AVCA/TARAFLEX DIVISION III Women's Volleyball Poll. The Tigers have been ranked every week since week one of the 2024 season. They hold a 15 week streak of being in the AVCA rankings. ETBU finished the 2024 season at the No. 15 spot.Ā

Home Court AdvantageĀ
ETBU posted a 29-match streak last year that ended in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. They carry a 26-match regular-season home winning streak and a 25-match regular-season win streak into 2025. The Tigers have not lost a regular-season home match since 2022, when they fell 3-2 to LeTourneau.

ETBU's senior class includes five players:
McKenzie Mansell,
Callie Humphrey,
Taylor Poore,
Graycee Mosley, and
Lexi Moody. Four of the five have been four-year starters for the Tigers.

FOUR-tune Favors the TigersĀ
ETBU is a combined 50-24 against this weekends opponents. The Tigers are 12-6 against The University of Dallas, 18-4 against Belhaven, 20-14 against Concordia Texas and have never faced Carroll (WI). The Tigers are 26-17 against UMHB but do not face the Crusaders until ASC play.Ā

Graycee Mosley heads into her senior season with 57 career double-doubles. The 13-time ASC Player of the Week is third on ETBU's all time kills list and ninth in all time digs.Ā Ā

McKenzie Mansell. Mosley is the three-time ASC MVP, Moody was the 2024 ASC Setter of the Year, and Humphrey the ASC Newcomer of the Year.Ā

Cool in ColoradoĀ
ETBU went a cool 4-0 in the Pikes Peak Challenge hosted by Colorado College. The Tigers started off the weekend beating Edgewood 3-0 then played a close 5-set-match with no. 22 Wisconsin-Eau Claire. ETBU then took on host Colorado College in a 3-1 victory ending their time with a 3-0 sweep against Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
