MARSHALL, Texas – Earning the program's second American Southwest Conference Tournament Championship in 2025, the East Texas Baptist University women's tennis team has been picked to finish third in 2026. ETBU returns five student-athletes from last year's team that went 9-7 and won their first round NCAA Tournament match over Edgewood.
ETBU earned eight points for a third place prediction behind Hardin-Simmons University (13 points) and the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (15 points).

Monique Ybarra are on the ASC Players to Watch List
Dunn was an All-ASC Second-Team selection last year in Singles flight 6 as Ybarra made the ASC All-Tournament team and was All-ASC Second-Team Doubles flight 2. Also returning is Fernando Ruiz Burkart who was on the ASC All-Tournament team.
ETBU opens the 2026 spring season on February 7 in Georgetown, Texas, against Southwestern University.
