TAME | XC/TF | Belize - Recap #3

1/5/2026 4:00:00 PM

Sunday's recap from the ETBU Cross Country and Track & Field TAME trip to Belize is provided by Ache Anderson and Neiman Sullen.

On Sunday, the team served at a local church where they led worship, gave testimonies, and held a VBS for the local kids.   In the afternoon, they had a chance to visit the local Mayan ruins and immerse themselves in some of Belize's history. In the evening, they were part of Jesus Night, which was a worship night for the local community, which turned into a powerful night of lives changed in both the Belize members and the ETBU team.

"Sundy was a meaningful and joy-filled day. We attended the church service and spent time doing activities with the kids while some of our team shared their testimonies, which was both fun and rewarding.  Visiting the Mayan ruins was beautiful and awe-inspiring and the day ended with Jesus Night, which was filled with music, joy, and sharing our faith together," Ache Anderson said.

"Today was a wonderful experience and very wholesome and eye opening.  We performed a skit and played hide and seek with the children, as well as attended the church service.  We interacted with the children and impacted their lives in ways we may never imagine.  Later in the day we visited the Mayan ruins and took many pictures, climbed a pyramid, and made many team bonding memories.  Today was full of heartfelt memories and we are all looking forward to the remainder of the trip, where we will continue to spread the Gospel and keep our eyes focused on Christ," Sullen added.
