McMurry finished with a 15-10 edge in shots and a 7-5 advantage in shots on goal, while ETBU put half of its attempts on frame. Lauster made six saves in 90 minutes, and Smith finished with two shots, both on goal, including ETBU's score.

Lauster made three saves in the half, including stops before and after Smith's goal, but McMurry answered at 81:13 to tie it 1-1.
