GLADEWATER, Texas – Playing their best round on the final day, East Texas Baptist University finished in eighth place at the Energy Weldfab Tempest Intercollegiate Tournament hosted by LeTourneau University. ETBU shot a 309, which was the fifth best that round for a team), to finish with a 951. Drew Marshall finished in the top 10 at ninth.
 
ETBU shot a 319 and 326 on the first day in the first two rounds before their best round on day two. They took off 20 strokes from the final round on day one for a 306 to finish with a 951.
 
Marshall finished with a 224 shooting a 74 and 75 on day one and a 75 on day two. He came just six strokes off the medalist and four from second place. Colby Hemenes rounded out the top 30 coming in 26^th with a 234 (77-75-82) as the second round was his best at 75.
 
Hutton Hoelscher shot a 239 (78-88-73) with his best round of 73 cutting 15 strokes from his second score. Trip Barnes (81-84-81) and Kade Bazzell (86-81-79) both shot a 246 to come in 53^rd.  Following them were 60^th  Colby Connor (86-86-79=251) in 60^th,  Ryder Barr (90-88-86=264) and Mack Melton (91-89-86=264) in 70^th, and    Brody Wampler (88-86-91=265) in 72^nd.
 
ETBU will play in their next tournament on October 12-13 in San Antonio at the Carla Spenkosc Invite hosted by Trinity University.
