MARSHALL, Texas — Earning their fourth shutout of the year on Senior Night, East Texas Baptist University (8-6-3, 4-3-3) secured third place in the American Southwest Conference with a 4-0 victory over Schreiner University (6-7-3, 4-4-2), 4-0, at Cornish Field. ETBU scored three times in the first half and added one goal after halftime while holding Schreiner scoreless. ETBU finished with a 25-5 advantage in shots, including 13-1 in shots on goal, and
Ryan Lord recorded one save in the shutout.
Andrew Bradford scored twice, converting his penalty attempt and finishing with three shots.
Dylan Garcia scored the first goal and totaled five shots, including two on goal.
Jacob Whittington added a goal and an assist while putting four of his five shots on frame.
Ryan Lord played all 90 minutes in goal, made one save and recorded the shutout.
ETBU turned early pressure into a 1-0 lead in the first half when Garcia scored at 19:12 off

Graylen Bowman at 28:56, and Bradford converted a penalty kick at 35:01 to make it 3-0. The Tigers generated eight corner kicks in the half and carried the 3-0 lead into halftime.
Bradford gave ETBU the second half's only goal in the 68th minute, moving the score to 4-0. The Tigers kept creating chances around it, with Bradford hitting the left woodwork at 70:46 and the team generating four shots and two corners from 79:52 to 89:39. Schreiner had a few late attempts, but ETBU closed out the half and the 4-0 win.
ETBU will host an ASC Tournament game on Tuesday night against McMurry University.
