MARSHALL, Texas – Winning their second match in a row, East Texas Baptist University shut out Austin College, 7-0, for their fourth win of the year. ETBU posted three flight wins with 6-0 victories and are now 4-3 on the year.
In doubles,
Jaco Snyman and
Jacob Daniell won 6-0 at no. 1 followed by a 6-2 win from
Erick Van Zyl and
Carson Crow at no. 2.
Drew Van Wyk and
Tanner Hake took the no. 3 doubles match, 6-3.
In singles, both
Mark Armbruster (no. 2) and Van Zyle (no. 3) blanked their opponents, 6-0, 6-0. Snyman (no. 1) and Hake (no. 6) won their singles matches 6-1, 6-0. Daniell then took the no. 4 match, 6-1, 6-2, and Van Wyk had a battle at no. 5, 6-4, 6-2, for the win.
ETBU will host junior college Jacksonville College on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m.
