MARSHALL, Texas – Earning their third straight shutout, East Texas Baptist University had a 7-0 win over NJCAA Jacksonville College. The win will count only on ETBU's record and not for NCAA due to Jacksonville being at junior college. ETBU is now 3-3 on the year.
 
Jacksonville had just three student-athletes for the match. In doubles play, Fernanda Ruiz Burkart and Monique Ybarra won 6-2 at no. 1. Kristyn Dunn/Jazmyne Ford-Schartner (no. 2) and Neyna Gonzalez/Alexis Strong (no. 3) received forfeit wins.
 
In singles play, Ybarra had a 6-1, 6-0 win at no. 1 and Ford-Schartner won at no. 3, 6-0, 6-0. Isabella Macquet won in a tiebreak at no. 2, 2-6, 6-3, 10-4. Ameila Anding (no. 4), Gonzalez (no. 5), and Strong (no. 6) earned wins by forfeit.
 
ETBU will have their third straight home match on Friday, February 27, at 2:00 p.m. vs. St. Thomas Houston.
