MARSHALL, Texas – Moving up one spot in the newest National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Poll, East Texas Baptist University is now no. 8. ETBU went 4-2 last week at the NFCA Leadoff Classic and now has been ranked for 161 consecutive weeks.
ETBU earned wins over then #13 Emory University, Pomona-Pitzer, DePauw University, and Denison. They have faced four nationally ranked teams going 4-2. In the newest poll, ETBU has faced no. 2 Trine, no. 5 Berry, no. 21 DePauw, no. 22 Emory, and no. 23 Belhaven.
This week brings six more games in Florida at The Spring Games with two on Wednesday, two on Friday, and two on Saturday.
