MARSHALL, Texas – In their first tournament of the year, East Texas Baptist University finished in second at the Crossing Creeks Invite hosted by LeTourneau University. ETBU shot a 624 and was five shots off of the winner in California Lutheran University. Four golfers were in the top 10 for ETBU as Rylee Beard came in third.
 
ETBU shot a 313 in the first round for second place and was 10 strokes off of CLU. On day two, they had a 311, for the second best round of the day, for their 624 to cut CLU's lead in half.
 
Beard tied for third place with a 155 (78-77) and was just two strokes off the medalist. Hallie Westfall tied for seventh with a 157 (78-79) shooting both rounds in the 70s. Madisyn Davis was then ninth with a 159 (80-79) and Anastasia Stava came in 10^th with a 161 (77-84).
