TEXARKANA, Texas – Winning their final match on Saturday at the Texas A&M Texarkana Beach Volleyball Invite, East Texas Baptist University shut out TAMU-Texarkana, 5-0. ETBU went 1-3 on the weekend and is now 5-11 on the year.
ETBU took the final match over TAMU-Texarkana, 5-0, by winning four of the flights in three sets.
Paige Dickson and
Boston Morin won, 21-19, 9-21, 15-12, in flight 1, and then
Bella Fields and
Caiden Lasala to flight 2 in two sets, 21-19, 21-14.
Cecilia Jalufka and
Caitlyn Ellenburg held onto flight 3, 21-11, 16-21, 15-11, and then
Emily Thomas and
Katelynn Holloway won flight 4, 21-19, 17-21, 15-7.
Morgan Cox and
Emmaley Matz finished off flight 5 with a 21-16, 15-21, 15-12 win.
ETBU will travel to Georgia next weekend for the Berry College Tournament in Rome, Ga.
