MARSHALL, Texas — After going 5-1 in The Spring Games in Florida, East Texas Baptist University continues to be in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Poll top 10 at eighth. ETBU just came off a 16 game road trip, playing in central Texas, Georgia, and Florida. It has now been ranked for 162 consecutive weeks.
The Tigers hold a 19-3 record after a sweep of the University of Dallas on Tuesday night and received 180 votes. Five of the teams the Tigers have faced are currently ranked in the NFCA, including No. 2 Trine, No. 5 Berry, No. 20 Belhaven, No. 21 DePauw, and No. 23 Emory.
