MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Putting together a very successful meet at the Rhodes College Invite in Tennessee, East Texas Baptist University had 23 Top 5 finishes with four first places. Muizq Gunnel, Brenton Hardin, and Talon Moten all won their events.
 
Gunnel cleared 6'6" in the high jump for first place out of six competitors. Hardin then won both the 100 meter dash and the 200 meter dash. In the 100 meter, he ran a 10.51 for first out of 37 runners and was then first of 31 in the 200 meter dash at 21.80). Moten then won the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 56.39 out of seven competitors.
 
Coming in second were PJ Johnson, Nicholas Brown, and Joe Stroman. Johnson made 6'4" in the high jump as Brown cleared 11'5.75" in the pole vault. Stroman ran a 22.41 in the 200 meter dash for second out of 31 runners.
