MT. BERRY, Ga. – Seeing all NCAA Division III competition in Georgia at Berry College, East Texas Baptist University went 2-2 on the weekend. ETBU won a match each day with wins over the University of Lynchburg and Wesleyan College to move to 7-13 on the year.
 
ETBU opened Friday with a 3-2 win over Lyncburg as ETBU took flight 2 with Bella Fields and Caiden Lasala, 16-21, 21-16, 15-9, in a three-set win. They also won at flight 3 (Ceclila Jalufka and Caitlyn Ellenburg), 21-13, 21-19, and earned the win with a 21-17, 21-8 win in flight 5 (Morgan Cox and Emmaley Matz).
 
Saturday's win came with a 5-0 shutout over Wesleyan College. Boston Morin/Paige Dickson (flight 1), Fields/Lasala (flight 2), Jalufka/Ellenburg (flight 3), Emily Thomas/Katelynn Holloway (flight 4), and Cox/Matz (flight 5) all won their matches.
 
ETBU will be back home for their second tournament March 27-28.
