MARSHALL, Texas – For the fourth time this season, East Texas Baptist University has swept the American Southwest Conference Weekly Awards as
Avery Holland is the Pitcher of the Week and
Ryan Stratman is the Hitter of the Week. It's her fourth award this season for Holland and the first for Stratman.
ETBU swept LeTourneau University last week, 8-0 and 2-1, moving to 23-3 on the year.
Holland pitched a complete game, allowing no runs in an 8-0 victory against the Yellow Jackets in game one. The junior from Fredericksburg, Texas, recorded eight strikeouts in the five-inning run rule, allowing no walks and only four hits.
Freshman
Ryan Stratman, from Rosenberg, Texas, secured a .714 batting average in her two games against LeTourneau with five hits in seven at-bats. Stratman secured three runs of her own and batted in one of her teammates as well.
The Tigers will head to Austin, Texas, to face Concordia Texas in a doubleheader starting at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.

HITTER OF THE WEEK – Ryan Stratman, Fr., OF, East Texas Baptist
In two East Texas Baptist victories this week, Stratman hit an impressive .714, going 3-for-3 in game one and 2-for-4 in game two. In an 8-0 win in the opener, she totaled three runs, three hits, and one RBI, while also stealing two bases. In a tightly contested 2-1 victory, Stratman added two more hits in four at-bats to help lead the Tigers to the sweep.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Avery Holland, Jr., P, East Texas Baptist
Holland recorded her fifth shutout of the season in an 8-0 victory over LeTourneau on Saturday. She tossed 5.0 innings, allowing just four hits while striking out eight of the 19 batters she faced and holding opponents to a .211 batting average. Holland continues her strong 2026 campaign, earning yet another Player of the Week honor.
