MARSHALL, Texas – After a 2-0 weekend, East Texas Baptist University remains ranked sixth in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Poll with 200 points. The Tigers defeated LeTourneau on Saturday in a home doubleheader, 8-0, and 2-1 in eight innings, moving to 23-3 on the year. ETBU has now been ranked for 164 consecutive weeks in the NFCA Poll.
Four teams remain in the NFCA Top 25 that ETBU has faced this season: No. 2 Trine University, No. 9 Berry College, No. 18 Belhaven University, and No. 24 Mount Union. Jumping into the new poll is Concordia Texas at No. 22 as ETBU will face the Tornados in a doubleheader in Austin, Texas, starting at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.
