MARSHALL, Texas – Three East Texas Baptist University women's basketball student-athletes have earned awards from the American Southwest Conference for the 2025-26 season.
Hannah Ayala,
Macey Jones, and
Conley Gibson were all awarded.
Ayala was named to the All-ASC First Team and the All-Defensive team. Jones made the All-ASC Second Team, and Gibson was on the All-Freshman Team. It is the first time all three have earned postseason awards from the ASC.
Ayala, a junior from El Paso, Texas, was one of the top defensive and rebounding players in the ASC, making the First Team and All-Defensive Team. She led the ASC in rebounding with 10.3 per game while averaging 8.3 points. Recording five double-doubles, she posted 10+ rebounds in 16 of the 25 games played, tying her career-high of 15 rebounds twice.
Jones, a sophomore from Tylertown, Miss., is an All-ASC Second Team member. She led the ASC in blocks with 41 (1.6 pg) and finished third in the scoring (12.1 ppg) and fifth in rebounding (5.0). With three double-doubles, she scored 10+ points in 16 games with a career-high 25 points twice in the season.
Gibson, a freshman from Conway, Ark., made it on the ASC All-Freshman Team. She scored 34 points, making eight three-pointers and shooting 30 percent from the floor.
ETBU finished 16-9 on the year and has won 119 games in the past six years under head coach
Blake Arbogast, making two NCAA Tournaments and winning the 2025 ASC Tournament.
