MARSHALL, Texas – Continuing to be a top 10 in the nation, East Texas Baptist University is No. 6 in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association softball poll. They have now been in the NFCA Division III poll for 168 weeks. They remain at No. 4 in the NPI poll.
ETBU moved down two spots to No. 6 in the NFCA poll with 200 points. Belhaven is No. 9 with 170 points, while Trine is No. 2 (240 points), and Mount Union is No. 12 (140 points) for the teams ETBU has played in the Top 25.
In the NPI poll, ETBU stayed at No. 4 with 63.701 points. Trine is No. 2 (66.414) while Mount Union is No. 15 (61.481), Belhaven at No. 17 (61.036), and Emory at No. 23 (60.147).
In the Region X poll, ETBU is No. 1 with their NPI. Texas Lutheran is No. 2 (62.726) followed by Redlands at No. 3 (62.485), Linfield at No. 4 (62.168), and Pacific Lutheran at No. 5 (61.807).
ETBU ended the regular season 34-4 and was 11-1 in the ASC. They will host the ASC Tournament May 6-8 at Bell Park at Taylor Field.
