MARSHALL, Texas – For the second time in three weeks, East Texas Baptist University's
McKenzie Jones is the American Southwest Conference Pitcher of the Week. It is the eighth time this year that ETBU has won the award as
Avery Holland has four,
Alexis Kemp with two, and now Jones with two.
ETBU went 2-0 last week, sweeping then No. 22 Concordia Texas. Jones pitched in game two for the win, recording three strikeouts, allowing just four hits, and one earned run.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK – McKenzie Jones, Jr., P, East Texas Baptist
Mckenzie Jones earns her second Pitcher of the Week honor of the year after leading East Texas Baptist to a top-25 victory over #22 Concordia Texas, 4-1. Jones pitched 7.0 innings, facing 25 batters and holding them to a .160 batting average. After allowing a single hit early, she retired the next nine batters, then retired 11 straight following the CTX run to secure the win.
