MARSHALL, Texas – Six different East Texas Baptist University women's tennis student-athletes have earned American Southwest Conference post-season awards.
Monique Ybarra leads the way being named the ASC Most Valuable Player and made the ASC Sportsmanship Team along with being on two All-ASC teams.
Ybarra becomes ETBU's fourth ASC Women's Tennis Player of the Year following ASC East Player of the Year members in
Bailey Smith (2024), Elisa Kendall (2019), and Kayla Casey (2016). It is her third straight All-ASC award as she is a three-time First-Team singles selection and earned three All-ASC doubles awards. This year, she was also named to the ASC All-Tournament team. Finishing the year at 13-3, she was 13-0 vs. NCAA Division III opponents at Flight 1 and is regionally ranked.
Earning a spot on the All-ASC Second Team for singles at Flight 4 is
Kristyn Dunn. She was also on the All-ASC Second Team for doubles at Flight 2 with
Jazmyne Ford-Schartner. Dunn now has two All-ASC awards in her career.
Isabella Macquet,
Fernanda Ruiz Burkart, and
Amelia Anding all earn their first All-ASC award on the doubles Second-Team. Macquet was given two awards as she was ASC All-Tournament and then Flight 1 doubles second team with Ybarra. Ruiz Burkart and Anding were the Flight 3 winners for the doubles Second Team.
ETBU finished with 10 wins and were the 2026 ASC Tournament runners-up.
