MARSHALL, Texas – Hosting for the fourth year in a row, East Texas Baptist University will welcome three teams for the 2026 NCAA Division III Marshall, Texas Regional Tournament. The tournament will take place from Friday, May 15, through Sunday, May 17, at Tiger Ballpark at Woods Field as ETBU makes their fourth appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament.
ETBU will be the No. 1 seed in the Regional Tournament as the American Southwest Conference Tournament Champion. as they welcome No. 2 seed Belhaven University (Miss.) (at-large/Collegiate Conference of the South), No. 3 seed Rhodes College (Tenn.) (at-large/Southern Athletic Association), and No. 4 seed Concordia University Texas (automatic/Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference). ETBU will face No. 4 Concordia Texas on Friday at 11:00 a.m. and No. 2 Belhaven plays No. 3 Rhodes College at 2:30 p.m.
No. 1 ETBU won the ASC Tournament over Hardin-Simmons University, 5-3, and are 33-10. They have a NPI ranking of 18th at 58.788 and are ranked No. 14 in The Perfect Game Poll, No. 18 in the D3baseball.com Poll, and 21st in the ABCA Poll.
No. 2 Belhaven fell in the CCS Tournament Championships to Piedmont University, 14-4. They have a 30-13 record and a No. 19 NPI ranking at 58.634 and ranked No. 17 in The Perfect Game and the ABCA Poll and No. 21 in D3baseball.com.
No. 3 Rhodes College was the Southern Athletic Association Tournament runner-up and received an at-large bid. They are 29-15 with a No. 35 NPI ranking at 57.619 and is ranked No. 18 in The Perfect Game, tied for 29th in the ABCA, and receiving votes in D3baseball.com.
No. 4 Concordia Texas is the Southern Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament Champion receiving the automatic bid. They are 29-15 with a No. 94 NPI and have won their last six games scoring 44 runs in the four games played in the SCAC Tournament.
