MARSHALL, Texas – Back to the NCAA Division III National Track & Field Championships, East Texas Baptist University will compete in one event in Wisconsin. Qualifying in the 4x100-meter relay, ETBU has a top-15 time in the nation.
With the 12th-best time in the nation at 40.85, Michael Latham,
Brenton Hardin,
Joe Stroman, and
Carsyn Bynum will compete for a national championship. The all-freshman relay team is 1.06 seconds off the top time and 0.59 seconds from second. They qualified at the Warhawk Classic on April 11 in Abilene, Texas.
They are the third 4x100-meter relay team from ETBU to qualify for the national championship meet, following qualifications in 2022 (41.98 – 15
th) and 2024 (41.02 – 12
th).
The relay prelims will take place on Friday at 3:10 p.m., with the finals on Saturday at 1:15 p.m.
The National Championship Meet is taking place from May 21-23 at the Veteran's Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse, Wis.
