MARSHALL, Texas – Earning her second National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-American award is East Texas Baptist University's
Avery Holland. For the second year in a row, she is an NFCA All-American Third Team selection as ETBU has now produced an All-American for seven consecutive years.
Holland went 19-2 on the year with a 1.26 ERA and 91 strikeouts. She made 21 starts and appearances pitching 127.1 innings with 18 complete games. The two-time NFCA All-Region First-Team selection is the 2026 ASC Pitcher of the Year and a three-time All-ASC First Team member.
She had a season high eight strikeouts, twice, against Austin College and LeTourneau. Her best outings came against then #13 Emory in a 4-0 shutout allowing two hits and a 6-1 win vs. Mary Hardin-Baylor allowing no earned runs and two hits.
This is the fourth straight year that ETBU has produced an All-American pitcher as Ashley Croft made the third team in 2023 and
Hannah Benavides in 2024 with Holland the past two years. Head coach
Janae Shirley has now produced 27 All-Americans with nine making the first team..
ETBU finished the year with 39 wins, hosted the NCAA Division III Marshall, Texas Regional, and won the programs 14
th ASC Tournament Championship.
