WHITNEY, Texas – Playing in their final tournament of the 2026 season, East Texas Baptist University finished fourth at the American Southwest Conference Men's Golf Championship Tournament at White Bluff Resort.
Kade Bazzell finished in the top 10 at ninth.
ETBU finished with a 959 (328-307-324) for fourth behind Howard Payne University's 956 (327-307-322), Hardin-Simmons 921 (316-300-305) and No. 7 Mary Hardin-Baylor's 853 (289-277-287). ETBU's best round of 307 came in the second round after shooting a 328 on day one.
Bazzell shot a three-round 231 to finish in the top 10 tied for ninth. His best score came in the second with a 71. He shot a 79 on day one and an 81 in the final round.
Caleb Kesting was then 13
th with a 236 (79-74-83) with his best round in the second at a 74.
Ryan Merrill (89-79-82=250) tied for 17
th and
Colby Hemenes (81-87-83=251) tied for 19
th to round out the top 20.
Coleman Bales was then 22
nd (84-83-88=255) and
Hutton Hoelscher came in 23
rd (85-93-90=268).
