WHITNEY, Texas – Four top 50 teams in the nation battled for the American Southwest Conference Tournament Championship as No. 49 East Texas Baptist finished in fourth (352-338-334=1024). No. 16 Mary Hardin-Baylor won the championship with a 933 (313-304-316) followed by No. 24 UC Santa Cruz's 968 (315-323-330) and No. 42 Hardin-Simmons' 1006 (335-332-339). Four ETBU student-athletes finished in the top 20.
ETBU's rounds were better each time as they started with a 352 and followed with a 338 and finished with a 334. That was just four shots off UC Santa Cruz's final round of 330 and better than HSU's 339.
Anastasia Stave came in 13
th with a 251 (86-83-82) as her rounds were better each time shaving off our strokes (86) in the first round to an 82 on the final round.
Hallie Westfall's final two rounds were her best with an 84 and 85 as she finished tied for 16
th with a 258 (89-84-85).
Kirsten Bridges was 18
th with a 261 (98-85-87) as an 85 was her best round.
Madisyn Davis finished out the top 20 tied for 19
th with a 263 (96-86-81). She shot an 81 on the final day for her best round.
Rylee Beard was 21
st (93-87-86=266) and
Halee Johnson came in 22nd (88-94-89=271)
