AWARD | HKY D2 | ETBU Has Seven Earn TCHC Awards; Gruszka is Coach of the Year

MARSHALL, Texas – Earning three awards from the Texas Collegiate Hockey Conference (TCHC), East Texas Baptist University's Ryan Gruszka, Gavyn McCutcheon, and Tristan Aun were all honored. Gruszka was named the TCHC Coach of the Year.
 
Gruszka was named the TCHC Coach of the Year in his first year as head coach. He guided ETBU to 10 wins with four in the TCHC.
 
McCutcheon played in 14 games as a goalie, earning five wins in 849 minutes played. He had a .906 save percentage with 532 saves, giving up 3.89 goals per game. He earned two wins over Texas A&M with 69 saves in the series. He had 37 saves in the first game and 32 in the final game. His TCHC best was 51 saves vs. TCU, and he had 54 saves in Colorado on January 17.
 
Aun had eight goals, four assists, and 12 points in 22 games played. He posted two goals in a 5-4 win over Ole Miss scoring goals vs. SMU, Texas, North Texas, and TCU. In the two-game series vs. Texas, he collected two goals as the two teams split the TCHC series.
