MARSHALL, Texas – Finishing as one of the Top Flight duals for the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), East Texas Baptist University's beach volleyball program has one pair that made the list for the first time in program history.
Morgan Cox and
Emmaley Matz earned the award for their season record.
The Top Flight program recognizes beach pairs who compete in at least 15 matches together on a specific flight and win at least 75% of their matches. This year, 80 pairs representing 35 schools—from all three NCAA divisions, NAIA, and Two-Year Colleges—have earned Top Flight status.
Cox and Matz are the only duo from NCAA Division III to earn the award.
ETBU ended the year in the AVCA Small College Beach Championships, where they went 2-2 to finish fifth in the nation.
