MARSHALL, Texas – Earning the final American Southwest Conference award for 2025-26 is East Texas Baptist University, being named the Sports Information Department of the Year. This is the fourth time the ETBU athletic communications staff has received the award, following 2013-14, 2019-20, and 2022-23.
"It is very humbling to earn this award voted on by your peers. God has blessed me at ETBU through my tenure here, and I see His work in all that we do in our department," said Ledyard. "I cannot say enough about the support I receive from ETBU President Dr. J. Blair Blackburn, Senior Vice President for Campus Life
Ryan Erwin, and all the coaches as they are the best to work with. My staff went above and beyond last year, hosting numerous events, three national/regional tournaments, and over 200+ home games/matches. I am so proud of them and what they did to promote ETBU. This award is a team award and for all of ETBU athletics."
The 2025-26 ETBU athletic communications staff included Ledyard, Cal Logan,
Harvey Rice, Demondre Williams, and Mark Robinson. This staff worked on close to 200 home events, had over 150 games live-streamed, and hosted three ASC postseason tournaments and two NCAA Tournaments. They promoted several All-Americans, two teams that played in the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournaments (volleyball, baseball), celebrated eight ASC Championships and four NCAA Tournament berths, four College Sports Communicators Academic All-Americans, a national coach of the year, and the National NCAA Division III Academic Student-Athlete of the Year (
Graycee Mosley).

Ledyard completed his 14
th year at ETBU and 25
th in the athletic communications industry this year. He is currently the D3SIDA First Vice President, the ASC SID Chair, serves on the College Sports Communicators Committee for year-long and convention planning, and has been a moderator and panelist several times for the CSC.
He has worked at the NCAA Division II and III and NAIA levels and at two Bowl games in his career. He has also had the chance to promote history at ETBU over his 14 years, including program first ASC Championships and NCAA Tournaments, National Awards, and the promotion of National Coaches and Players of the Year. In his tenure, his graduate assistants and interns have gone on to work at several NCAA Division I, II, and III programs in both athletic communications and creative positions. This is his fifth "SID of the Year" award in his career, also earning the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference SID of the Year in 2011-12.
