WALKER, Minn. – Competing for a 2026 Strike King Bassmaster College National Championship, East Texas Baptist University had one boat vying for that chance in Minnesota. The Tiger Bass team, made up of Trey McMeen and
Dylan Armstrong, came in 40
th place out of 134 boats.
McMeen and Armstrong were in 40
th place after day one with a five-fish bag weighing 14 pounds and 10 ounces. On day two, they finished with 13 pounds, one ounce, just missing the top 30 by two pounds. They finished with 27 pounds, 11 ounces.
ETBU has remained in the national spotlight every year, competing for a national championship on either the Bassmaster or MLF series since the program's inception in 2017.
