ATLANTA, Ga. – Finishing up the East-West Classic in Georgia, No. 4 East Texas Baptist University went 1-1 on day two taking a win over No. 18 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. ETBU is now 3-3 on the year.

ETBU fell in their first match of the day at Emory University to WashU, 25-17, 25-20, 25-20 hitting .119 overall. Allison Sims led the team with 11 kills with a .474 attack percentage as Lara Horsby had nine kills and 12 digs. Sadie Kaswoski recorded 18 digs, McKenzie Riley added four blocks, and Sydney Temple had 21 assists. WashU hit .254 and had 17 blocks.

ETBU ended the East-West Classic with a four-set victory over CMS, 25-23, 25-22, 19-25, 25-23, to move to 3-3 on the year. ETBU hit .187 with 60 kills, 17 blocks and seven service aces. Hornsby led the team with 16 kills and 13 digs for a double-double. Riley added 15 kills on a .406 attack percentage as Kasowski produced 22 digs and Temple had 28 assists as Claire Stewart had 17. Anita Hancock gave five blocks.
 
ETBU will be home for the first time next weekend hosting the Tiger Invitational playing four teams starting at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
